Juhi Deolankar is a Rutgers educated Physician. Dr. Deolankar is currently conducting research facilitated by Hackensack University Medical Center and Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Through her involvement in a Residency Program, Juhi Deolankar is solidifying the foundation of her career as a Resident Physician. In addition to her work as a Resident Physician, Deolankar actively participates in research efforts. She proudly maintains degrees from Albert Dorman Honors College and Rutgers University Medical School.
Education
In 2013, Juhi Deolankar graduated from the Academy of Allied Health and Science (AAHS). This academic experience laid the groundwork for Deolankar’s pursuit of a career in medicine.
Eager to earn the necessary credentials for her career in urology, Juhi Deolankar participated in a seven-year accelerated BA/MD program. This experience led to her completion of a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology with a Minor in Entrepreneurship. Deolankar also studied abroad at the University of Sheffield during the undergraduate portion of her collegiate career. This experience inspired a budding interest in global health, which she developed on during her international service and volunteer activities.
Juhi Deolankar proudly graduated from Albert Dorman Honors College with Summa Cum Laude distinction. She immediately continued on to complete her Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Rutgers Medical School. In April 2020, Deolankar concluded her formal studies by earning her MD. However, she considers herself someone who will always remain committed to lifelong learning. As such, Deolankar will keep pace with the latest developments and approaches in urology through her ongoing research efforts and professional affiliations.
Current Research
Hackensack University Medical Center
Juhi Deolankar is currently participating in research efforts alongside mentor, Michael Stifelman, MD. Deolankar and Stifelman’s collaboration is focused on the development of a prospective database for renal and GU reconstructive surgeries. This research is facilitated via Hackensack University Medical Center.
Veterans Affairs Hospital
In tandem with her research at Hackensack, Juhi Deolankar is also carrying out research at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. This research is being conducted alongside Hossein Sadeghi-Nejad, MD. Dr. Deolankar and Dr. Sadeghi-Nejad are working on a manuscript for an abstract that centers around Trazodone Pre-Treatment Screening and Side Effects Counseling at a Single Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Completed Research
In 2015 and 2016, Juhi Deolankar participated in numerous experiments at the Rutgers Medical School Cancer Center. Deolankar’s experiments involved PCR, DNA extractions and IVIS.
